Are the TI-89 & I-84 plus calculator allowed in calculus classroom?
A-Best: As others have said, it really depends on the teacher/school. Checking the syllabus is a great idea.
For me, they didn't allow us to use any calculators for my Calculus class.
Although this is true for me, it may not be for you.
A: not normally since it will do all the math and integrals for you. You have to learn what the calculator is doing before you are allowed to use them.
A: the 84 should be
the 89 probably isn't becuase it can solve algerbraic derivatives
A: It depends on the school and teacher. Ask the teacher and/or see the syllabus.
A: in my classes, NO WAY lol. i mean, whats the fun using calculators if it does all the integration. it just shows that you cant integrate and all you know is how to work your calculator. even if it was allowed i would only use it to double check my answer. you wont get far in life if you dont know how to do certain skills. however, just ask your teacher. we were allowed to use 83's and 84's.
